Heritage's tennis season came to an end last week when both its girls and boys teams fell in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
The girls fell 3-1 to Starr's Mill and the boys lost to McIntosh 3-2.
Zachary Landy topped Austin Emmet in No. 1 singles 6-3, 7-5, and Frankie Merkel in No. 2 singles over McIntosh's Billy Pemu 6-1, 6-4.
But both doubles teams lost, along with No. 3 singels Raphael Chaney.
Chaney fell 6-1, 6-1, the team of Erilk Lauristen and Trey Calcinore lost to Femi Brinson and Stewart Weiheit 6-3, 6-2 and the team of Jordan Worthington and Trevon Prince fell to Biola Brinson and Jamie Crawford 6-0, 6-1.
"McIntosh has a very good, deep team," Heritage coach Chuck Landy said. "We are proud of what we were able to accomplish this season. It was a good run, but we came up a little short."
